Hi, I’m Lynsey Jackson.

I’m Lynsey Jackson. Mum of three, small business owner, and person who is lucky enough to have been able to choose a life in Cornwall. I love the sea and will make time to get in it, ride on top of it, or at least walk next to it, every single day that I can. 

A lot of my customers are people like me and have chosen to work with me because I understand their struggle, juggling work, family responsibilities, and attempting to have a life as well. And I truly do. I know what it’s like, and have lived in varying amounts of chaos for several years as my children progress from nappies to nursery to school. We’re heading for the teenage years now, and I imagine that the chaos won’t abate just yet…

With 20 years of administration management experience in the NHS, when it was time to go back to work after my third maternity leave, I felt a drive to work for myself, using my extensive skills to support other small business owners to thrive. 

The name Ocanu comes from the Corsican word for ocean, and even if you didn’t know that it brings to mind the ocean, endless, different from one day to the next, yet the constant factor behind so much of life in Cornwall. I want to bring that feeling to my clients – the support to tackle the varied demands of your business, that do sometimes seem endless, but on the right day can be a source of peace and tranquillity. 

It genuinely warms my heart when my clients take a step forward in their business, enabled to do so by handing off some of the behind-the-scenes tasks to me, allowing them to focus on the core of their business. I understand that operating as a sole trader can be lonely, and I’m more than happy to be your office buddy,
